URBAN LEGENDS 2: FINAL CUT |
|
Forgive me but I'm a nut when it comes to dumb slashers and
this one proved to be as dumb as its predecessor. Some things I liked about this was that
the Killings were creative. Electrocution, decapitation, cannibalism by a dog, hanging,
bludgeoning by a big-ass flashlight, are some of the great points of the movie. I just like
slashers. The humor is great in this one, some scenes had me chuckling alot. The tension
build-up is pretty good and the violence is decent. This would be great to watch with a
group of friends.
The acting is poor, the heroine is dull and lifeless
without any depth to her. Alot of the characters are set up just to die. One thing that
really got me angry was the ending. The new slasher concept is really bad. Boy were they
stretching their brains thinking about the fencing mask. I heard that in the next sequel
the killer is going to wear a mask of President Clinton (Just kidding of course). Joey
Lawrence is very dull as always in all of his roles. There is alot of poor and set-up fake
scares that failed to get a jump out of me. The main aspect of this movie is there always
seemed to be fog around the city. And why do you always have to be in dark places in the
college? Don't they have lights there? I wish they would kill off Loretta Devines
character. She was annoying, boring, and not funny. The ending was incredibly hokey,
corny, and cheeseball, but the surprise cameo with the killer from the first
one in the end is pretty cool.
Boy, they should stop making these movies before the series gets old. Oops! Too
late.
